The Fourth of July Parade
Between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM on July 4th, the South Padre Island Parks and Recreation Center will host the Fourth of July Parade. If you’re an early bird and would love to take the kiddos or four legged friends for a day they won’t forget, then this family- and pet-friendly event is perfect!
Fireworks
Spending Independence Day with friends and family while relaxing and watching some classic fireworks is an experience like no other. Luckily, Louie’s Backyard will be hosting “Fireworks Over the Bay” at 9:15 PM. They also do this on Thursday and Friday evenings at the same time. You can take a short trip over if you’re looking to enjoy this occasion with many other patriotic comrades!
Fireworks are a tradition at South Padre Island, and people from all over the country make the trek down to enjoy them on the island. It’s special to know you can watch this amazing show without the hustle and bustle of dealing with traffic as a residence at Las Velas Village.
Barbecuing All You Want
All over South Padre Island, grills will be fired up on July 4th.
